چکیده
The aim of this study was to investigate the immunohistochemical localization oxytocin receptor (OTR) in diabetic and non-diabetic mouse heart tissue. Eighteen male Balb-c adult (8-12 week) mice were used study. Animals divided into three groups; control, sham diabetes. diabetes group given STZ by intraperitoneally (i.p) injections induced. Sham again treated with sodium citrate solution i.p. animals control did not receive any treatment. After 30 days application, cervical dislocated under ether anesthesia their tissues removed. Each tissue vertically two parts routine histological procedures applied then blocked paraffin sections taken. For examination, Haematoxylin&Eosin (H&E), Crossman’s Triple staining Periodic Acid Schiff (PAS) sections. Immunoreactivity OTR determined Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex (ABC) method. At end period; body weight groups, blood glucose level, weights samples structure compared. When compared between there no statistically significant difference groups (p>0.05). As a result examinations, it found that more degeneration cells myocardium other groups. Immunohistochemical examinations showed similar immunoreactivity In group, endothelial capillary areas, but less cell membrane, cytoplasm purkinje cells. conclusion, results is relationship OTR, result, thought may have an effect on cardiovascular system through (p

Examination of the immunohistochemical localization and gene expression by RT-PCR of the oxytocin receptor in diabetic and non-diabetic mouse testis
Objective(s): The aim of this study was to determine Oxytocin receptor (OTR) gene expression and localization in diabetic and non-diabetic mouse testes by RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry, respectively. Materials and Methods: In this study, 18 male BALB/c mice (8–12 weeks old) were used and divided into three groups: diabetic, sham, and control. Streptozotocin (STZ) was applied to the diabetic g...
متن کاملRole of GABAB Receptor and L-Arg in GABA- Induced Vasorelaxation in Non-diabetic and Streptozotocin-Induced Diabetic Rat Vessels
Background: Hypertension is considered an independent risk factor for cardiovascular mortality in diabetic patients. The present study was designed to determine the role of gamma amino butyric acid B (GABAB) receptor and L-arginine (L-Arg) in GABA-induced vasorelaxation in normal and streptozotocin-induced diabetic rat vessels. Methods: Diabetes was induced by a single i.p. injection of strepto...
